About Pasadena Clinical Group

An outpatient practice that takes anger seriously — without shame.

Adults in Los Angeles have always had access to therapy. They haven't always had access to a place that knew how to work with anger as the front door. That's the gap we built this practice to close.

Our story

We started as a small group practice with one anger-focused cohort.

For more than a decade, Pasadena Clinical Group has served adults across Los Angeles County, the San Gabriel Valley, and Orange County. We started as a small outpatient psychology team. The anger-management group came later — built because we kept seeing the same pattern in our intake calls. People who'd been in therapy before. People who'd done the worksheets, read the books. People for whom none of it had translated into a different Tuesday night.

What we built instead was a place that takes anger seriously without making the person carrying it feel like a problem. The skills are real. The clinicians are licensed. The room is human.

What we believe

Anger is a signal, not a verdict.

Most of the adults who walk through our door have been told — by partners, by employers, by family — that their anger is a character flaw. We don't see it that way.

Anger is a signal. Sometimes the signal is about the moment. Sometimes it's about the last twenty years. Sometimes it's both. The work is to listen to the signal carefully enough to act on it differently — and that takes more than willpower. It takes practice, in a room with other people who are practicing.

That's the heart of what we do. We don't moralize. We don't shame. We teach skills that hold up on a Wednesday at 6pm, when the kids are loud and the day was long and the temptation is to cut and run.

Service area

Serving the Los Angeles region.

Our office is in Pasadena. Our clients come from across the region — Los Angeles proper, Glendale, Burbank, South Pasadena, Alhambra, Arcadia, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, La Cañada, the broader San Gabriel Valley, and Orange County. Telehealth widens that further: anywhere in California, seven days a week.

If you're searching for an anger management therapist in Los Angeles, you've probably already noticed how few practices specialize in it. That's part of why we built this. The whole practice is oriented toward this work.

Ready when you are.

You don't need a referral. You don't need to know exactly what to ask for. You just need to make the call.
